If you are looking for a monitor with a lot of good specifications, yet at a low price, then this is it. Even though it is not an IPS screen, it will be considered as good or better by most viewers. In general, the downside to a VA pane is a slower response time. However, Sceptre partially compensated for that with their 75Hz refresh rate, resulting in a compromise that's not so bad. And the good side of a VA pane is its better contrast (1 million to 1) and image depth, making this a very good value monitor. Normal graphics can look better on this screen than on an average IPS screen, while fast moving action gaming experiences might not refresh in time to catch all of the action. The refresh rate on this monitor is 8ms, while action gamers prefer 1-3ms.
Sceptre put a lot of thought into the details. For example, you can remove the stand, and then mount it on the wall using the 100mm VESA standard. It includes a 178 degree viewing angle. It includes an anti-glare surface treatment. And its backlight is rated for 50,000 hours.
